Less a narrative than a bunch of short experiences meant to be interpretable, Scary Halloween isn't just a bunch of "creepy" sounds thrown together at random. It puts more emphasis on sound effects and atmosphere and less on music than some of its brethren, and with a running time of less than twenty-two minutes, it knows when to get out. Check out the particularly nasty track three. Two words: dentist's drill. Three more: gagging and screaming.
