I'll tell you, when I was a kid, I watched this (along with a bunch of winter-themed shorts NBC stuck in front of it on a December night in 1985) a lot. Probably many more times than I should have. Now, when I'm a little older, I find that Mickey's Christmas Carol isn't quiet as good as I remembered it being, but it's still fun. With its short running time, goofy humor, and overly sentimental attitude, this is definitely an adaptation meant for children. Even Scrooge is much nicer--even verging, at times, on being cute--than his character is supposed to be. Those looking for the philosophical musings present in Dickens' narrative should give this a wide berth, but it's still fun.
