I was reading the Greg Suarez's review of The Nightmare Before Christmas on The Digital Bits, when a thought occurred to me. What in the world was I thinking when I only gave this film four stars? I suddenly remembered how I had spent the entire film with a huge, goofy grin on my face. How for days I had sung "What's This?," one of the great songs in what is one of Danny Elfman's best works. How, years later, I still think fondly of this film, its characters, and the wonderful world it created. (Feb 17, 1999/Oct 10, 2000)

From the mind of Tim Burton.

Filmed in stop-motion animation, a very time-consuming process.
