Won't someone save us from bad zombie movies? Please? Night of the Zombies steals pages from the books of plenty of better films, and still fails miserably to have any value--entertainment, cinematic, or otherwise. The plot (not to mention the title) is straight out of Night of the Living Dead (and that film's first sequel). The zombie makeup is at times Romerian, at other times Fulcian, and I bet if you looked hard enough, you'd find some of the blond-haired, green-skinned idiots from Zombie Lake running around, wondering how the hell they actually found their way into a movie inferior, even, to their own. All of this would be bad enough. However, like salt and lemon juice on a wound, we discover that this film is overacted, underdirected, edited horridly, and devoid of any kind of storytelling logic! And it even has the cojones to steal the musical score from Dawn of the Dead? For shame. (Jul 18, 2000)
